Introduction

Space Industry Skillnet is proud to present, in association with the ESA SME Unit and Enterprise Ireland, this unique training course for companies who want to improve their chances of success with proposals made in response to ESA Invitations to Tender (ITT).

Course Description

This course provides instruction in the fundamentals of how to write a good technical and contractual proposal in repsonse to an ESA Invitation to Tender. The basic concepts and principles of the ESA proposal writing process are stressed. The participant is introduced to relevant publications that guide good proposal writing. The course is based on an innovtaive practical approach and in enough detail to give the participant a working knowledge of proposal writing techniques and how they are accomplished in practice. Practical exercises worked by the participants in groups are used to develop skills in proposal writing techniques. This course establishes a foundation for the participant to approach ESA proposal writing with confidence.

Following the detailed instructor led briefings the participants are encouraged to complete practical exercises in proposal writing that help embed the knowledge provided during the course.

Course Instructors:

The instructors are experienced technical and contractual staff from ESA. Peter Schiller (Head of of Life and Physical Science Instrumentation Section (TEC-MMG, ESTEC), Gunilla Stjernevi (Head of the Contractual Rules and Procedure Office, ESA Procurement Department, ESTEC) and Nora Bougharouat (Head of ESA SME Unit)

Course Schedule

The course will commence at 9.00am on Wednesday 16th April 2008 and end at 16.00 on Friday 18th April 2008. Sessions will break for coffee at in morning & afternoon and for lunch at approx. 13.00. Sessions are scheduled to end at 18.00 each day. Please download a copy of the Course Schedule here.

Course Dinner

You are invited to a special complimentary course dinner at 19.00 in the "Clouds" rooftop restaurant in the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport with award winning cuisine and spectacular views of Dublin.

Course Fees

Complete Training Course: €500 Note: All course fees are Ex VAT.

Accomodation

Accommodation Fee = €200 (optional) - 3 nights Bed and breakfast in the Carlton Hotel - Dublin Airport, from Tuesday evening to Friday morning at a special discount rate for course delegates.
